Beneath It All

Continuously asking life who you actually are?

Allows you to develop these uncertainties

The doubts

The feeling of being unaccomplished

As if you haven’t done enough to prepare for the battle ahead

The battle, which no matter what you think, you never win

And the fact this is all in your thoughts after becoming curious with your well being

It imitates your shame

Your embarrassment

Your insecurities

You work hard for others to see that you have done well

You wait to hear the “good jobs” and the “well dones”

It never comes

And you feel as if you haven’t prospered

The questionable thinking devours your strength

Your independence

You look for love everywhere it is not

You find the unwanted touches to be a blessing

The unwanted hurting to be a reminder of the failure you have become

But really aren’t
